Regulated by the Georgia Department of Human Services as a Child Caring Institution, Ridge Creek School is a therapeutic boarding facility located in the north Georgia Mountains. Focusing on at-risk youth and youth with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Ridge Creek School surrounds its students with a beautiful, natural environment and caring counselors and educators. The Ridge Creek School scholastic program introduces students to the rigorous academics they will encounter in higher education. Ridge Creek School educators assemble a custom program for each student. SAT preparation, study skills programs, and honors classes are available at Ridge Creek School, and the institution has a history of outstanding college placement. Ridge Creek School maintains accreditation with the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Sports, the visual arts, drama, and a number of student organizations and clubs provide Ridge Creek School students a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Each program at Ridge Creek School is focused on establishing personal goals and developing self-confidence. A member of the Atlanta Athletic Conference, Ridge Creek School also offers an equestrian program.
